International Yoga Dey, 2017


National Research Centre on Mithun observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 30th October to 4th November 2017. The theme of the Vigilance awareness Week this year was My Vision-Corruption Free India. The programme began at NRC on Mithun office on 30.10.2017 at 11:00 hrs. Director, ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. Abhijit Mitra addressed to all the staff members and highlighted the importance of Vigilance Week and also administered pledge to the staff. He also highlighted the measures taken up by the ICAR as well as the Institute to prevent corruption. Various competitive programmes were organized during the week long programme like essay writing, drawing competition, and slogan writing for the staff and students. Valedictory programme was organized on 03.11.2016 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the conference hall of the institute. All the staff and students were participated. Vigilance Office of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. Meraj Haider Khan appraised the house about the activities conducted during vigilance week and number of participants. A total of 38 staff and school students participated in Essay Writing competition. The topic of the essay writing was How to make India corruption free. Similarly, 46 and 21 staff and schoolchildren participated in drawing and slogan writing events. Shri Ajen Lama, Administrative Officer and Dr. Nazrul Haque, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NRC on Mithun also expressed their views on preventing corruption. Chairman, Dr. Abhijit Mitra, Director, NRC on Mithun who emphasized the need to create awareness about anti corruption and also motivated school children to adopt the practice of honesty in their daily life. Winners of various events were awarded with gifts and certificates. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. M. H. Khan, Senior Scientist and Vigilance Officer, ICAR- NRC on Mithun.
